Job Opportunity – Account Manager with GN Building Products – Louisville, KY

Great Northern Building Products are among the best in manufacturing specialty products for several different industries. With products made in North America, our three different manufacturing divisions include specialty fasteners, drywall tools, and custom equipment manufacturing. We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team.

As the Account Manager, you will develop new accounts while managing and growing existing accounts for two of our product lines – Specialty Fasteners and Contract Manufactured Steel Products. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing and executing against a robust sales funnel of opportunities with existing accounts
  • Identifying and landing new accounts
  • Working directly with company online partners to administer sales
  • Managing company eBay and Amazon online sales activities

The ideal candidate will excel in the following areas: Analyzing Complex Information, Problem Solving, Change Management and Performance Coaching.   Additionally, you will need:
  • A Bachelor' s degree or relevant technical education.  Engineering or technical degree preferred
  • 5 plus years’ experience in account management and business development
  • Experience in metal manufacturing or construction materials a plus
  • Ability to understand a modestly complicated product line
  • Manage one direct report responsible for order entry and customer service
