The HealthCare Connection is a non-profit provider of primary health and basic dental services for the underserved, uninsured and underinsured of Northern Hamilton County. We are the first federally qualified health center (FQHC) in the state of Ohio and one of the earliest established in the entire United States. As the Dental Practice Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations by working closely with the Dental Director, Dentist and other support staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Independent judgment in the supervision of staff and the preparation of the team as necessary to meet established performance expectations, goals, and standards.
Hire, orient and train new staff.
Continuously monitor and track expenses to comply with the site budget.
Address and resolve patient complaints.
Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and/or committees when required.
Convey a positive attitude and serve as a role model for staff in the areas of customer service and compliance with core values.
Bachelor’ s degree preferred
Demonstrated leadership competencies, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, team building and the ability to drive results.
Prefer 2-3 years previous experience as a dental office manager with knowledge of operations, billing, insurance, managed care, referral processes and customer service principles.
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information while working with persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
Ability to communicate and interact with administrators and staff, patients, other medical staff, students, and anyone from diverse cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds
Solid MS Office and Electronic Dental Record/Practice Management system skills
Ability to accept guidance and supervision as appropriate
